We see so many kids in our office who have been told they just need to “try harder,” while their parents are told “they’ll grow out of it.” Meanwhile, the struggles continue showing up in school, at home, and in everyday life.
If your child is struggling with focus, behavior, sensory overwhelm, learning, coordination, emotional regulation, or simply seems to be having a harder time than other kids their age, we want you to know: there is a reason this is happening, and there is a path forward.
What is Pediatric Neurodevelopment?
Pediatric neurodevelopment refers to how a child’s brain and nervous system grow, wire, and communicate over time. When that process is disrupted by birth stress, early trauma, sensory overload, or nervous system dysregulation — it shows up as the behaviors and struggles parents witness every day. It’s not a discipline problem. It’s a neurological one. And that’s exactly what we specialize in.
Symptoms We See in Kids
- Difficulty focusing or sitting still
- Emotional meltdowns or dysregulation
- Sensory sensitivities (sound, touch, light)
- Delayed speech or motor skills
- Anxiety or social withdrawal
- Trouble in school despite effort
Hemispheric Integration
Many children with ADHD, autism spectrum traits, learning differences, and behavioral challenges have a measurable imbalance between the left and right sides of the brain. Using the Melillo Method, we identify exactly which hemisphere is under-functioning and deliver precise sensory and motor stimulation to restore symmetry and coordination between both sides.
Vestibular Development & Recalibration
The vestibular system is the brain’s master regulator of balance, spatial awareness, and sensory integration. When it is underdeveloped or dysregulated, it disrupts attention, motor skills, emotional regulation, and even reading. Our vestibular protocols recalibrate this foundational system so the rest of the brain can function at its full capacity.
Cerebellar Activation
The cerebellum processes over half of the brain’s neurons and plays a critical role in timing, coordination, emotional regulation, and cognitive processing. Cerebellar underactivation is strongly linked to ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Our approach includes specific cerebellar activation exercises that build faster, more efficient neural connections throughout the entire brain.
